The purpose of my research is to make a change. The way I am going to make the change is by staging a protest. To help with my protest the genres I am going to use are a poster that would be help at the poster, a flyer informing when, where, etc. the protest is, and a Facebook event where I will post information about the event and why I want to have it. I will make my audience familiar with the topic through all of the genres, especially the flyer and Facebook group. They will act as an outlet for me giving everyone information. The assumptions I want my audience to make about my topic is that the dining halls do not provide enough options for vegetarian students and it is time to make a change. I will connect with my audience through the genres, especially the Facebook. That way they can respond and comment on my posts. The best mode for saying what I want to say will be through the poster I think, because it will be short and sweet but get the point across. My favorite genres to compose are the poster and the flyer because I like the artistic side of being a composer.
