One genre I plan to create is a Facebook event group.
How does this genre further the message of your research paper? It will get the message out about my topic because to many people, my topic is something they don't think about on a daily basis. So, this Facebook group will share the message to the most people I possibly could.
What rhetorical appeals will you be using? I will be using pathos through sharing vegetarians stories on my Facebook page(emotion) and logos by asking questions starting with why on my Facebook page to ask logical questions as to why FSU doesn't have viable options for veggie students(logic).
How does the audience of this genre different from that of your research paper the audience of my genre will hit more college aged students because it is one a social media and two is a fake event happening at FSU. My research paper hits more older people, because a lot of younger people won't want to sit down and read it.
What is one alternate genre you could create in its place? I could do an Instagram account or a twitter or something that would get the same message across, but Facebook was the best way to do it.
This section in BBG emphasizes the importance of planning to properly explain things to your audience. In order to do this, you need to be certain that all the genres you are using support each other and make sense in respect to target audience and purpose. I will sequence my 3 genres as follows: I will start with my Facebook page, because it can reach out to the most people, because a lot of my target audience is on Facebook. Next, I will use a flyer hung up in hand picked locations to get the message to the people who missed the social media. Finally, I will have a poster that will be used at the actual fake event to describe what the event I am fake planning will be like.
